General Introduction:

Red clover (Trifolium pratense) is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the legume family, Fabaceae.Known for its vibrant red flowers and trifoliate leaves, red clover has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties and as a forage crop.

 

Its habitats In China:

Sanbao red clover comes from Shennongjia Hubei Province. Shennongjia means "Shennong's ladder". The name Shennong comes from the legend of Yan Emperor (a legendary emperor and ancestor of Chinese nation in remote antiquity with Shennong being his family name), who visited the mountains in search of herbs to cure illness of local residents. Red clover grows wildly in this ancient and mysterious place.

 

Red clover is characterized by its clusters of red, pink, or white flowers that bloom from late spring to early autumn. The flowers are typically 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter and are arranged in dense, globular heads. The leaves are trifoliate, with each leaflet being heart-shaped and having a white V-shaped marking on the upper surface.
